A massive thank you to Vickie @ Coma Calm for taking the time to read and review Gifted. And an even bigger thanks for being so kind to me – I couldn’t have asked for a better review if I’d bribed her (which I swear I didn’t).
Check out Vickie’s review at http://www.comacalm.com and the rest of the site – this girl devours books, so if your’e looking for inspiration on what to read next, this site is an amazing resource.
…….is finally over. And fun though it was, thank god it is. Jubilee + My Birthday + 4 days off work has not been at all healthy for any of my bodily organs, my bank balance or my writing schedule. Bleugh.
Ah, another beautiful sunny day in Jersey. The skies are blue, the birds are singing. A perfect day for lying on your lounger or swinging in your hammock with a long cool drink in one hand and your Kindle in the other. Perhaps reading a debut paranormal suspense novel…………. did I mention that I wrote one………..
A big thank you to the lovely Molly Snow for inviting me to take part in her Paranormal Freebies Blog Hop on June 21-22.
On those dates, you can download my novel Gifted for FREE from Amazon. You can also download Molly’s novel BeSwitched Witch for free too.

Thanks to Le Rocquier School book club for inviting me this afternoon – and for being nice to me because I was VERY nervous! The last time I talked in front of a group of people I don’t know was when I read a poem in school assembly when I was six! I look forward to hearing your opinions when you’ve had a chance to read the book (if you decide to) 🙂
If you’re in Jersey, grab a copy of the May issue of Gallery magazine – out on Tuesday 1 May. There’s an interview with me on Page 54 (so I’m told!) all about The Evangeline Devine series, writing, and books in general. I’m going to get a copy and frame it 🙂
Gifted will be unavailable on Amazon from about 11pm tonight (UK time) until tomorrow morning – have to take it down for a quick edit (damn those typos!)……. cos I know that soooo many of you were planning on downloading it in the middle of the night he he
Yay!! I have my first review by a US reviewer – and more importantly, by someone who doesn’t know me from Adam and therefore has no reason to be nice to me – and it’s actually a pretty nice review on the whole – some criticism, but constructively done and taken on board.
Check it out at the Electronic Ink blog spot here: http://wadingthrougheink.blogspot.com/
Apart from saying nice things about Gifted, it’s a pretty good place to look if you want some recommendations for YA indie novels generally.
A big thank you to Elizabeth for reading and reviewing so quickly and for taking the time to give a really thorough and helpful review !!
Now I just need several thousand more like that and world domination will be within my grasp arf arf (laughs evilly whilst stroking cat).
For those of you who don’t have a Kindle, don’t worry – all is not lost! You can still download and read “Gifted” (or any other e-book for that matter – but read mine first!) by downloading FREE Kindle e-reader software to your PC here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html?ie=UTF8&docId=1000493771
From tomorrow, “Gifted” will be temporarily removed from Smashwords for a period of 90 days. This is so I can enrol it in the KDP Select programme on Amazon (you can’t be published anywhere else to join) and participate in a forthcoming blog hop being organised by Breezy Reads. Further details on blog hop to follow in due course – should be really good opportunity for YA lovers to discover exciting new indie writing talents! (and me).
Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause; “Gifted” will remain available on Amazon and anyone who has already downloaded “Gifted” from Smashwords will not be affected.
