Gallery Magazine Interview

If you’re in Jersey, grab a copy of the May issue of Gallery magazine – out on Tuesday 1 May. There’s an interview with me on Page 54 (so I’m told!) all about The Evangeline Devine series, writing, and books in general. I’m going to get a copy and frame it 🙂

Gifted unavailable :(

Gifted will be unavailable on Amazon from about 11pm tonight (UK time) until tomorrow morning – have to take it down for a quick edit (damn those typos!)……. cos I know that soooo many of you were planning on downloading it in the middle of the night he he

Wading through Electronic Ink review

Yay!! I have my first review by a US reviewer – and more importantly,  by someone who doesn’t know me from Adam and therefore has no reason to be nice to me – and it’s actually a pretty nice review on the whole – some criticism, but constructively done and taken on board.

Check it out at the Electronic Ink blog spot here: http://wadingthrougheink.blogspot.com/

Apart from saying nice things about Gifted, it’s a pretty good place to look if you want some recommendations for YA indie novels generally.

A big thank you to Elizabeth for reading and reviewing so quickly and for taking the time  to give a really thorough and helpful review !!

Now I just need several thousand more like that and world domination will be within my grasp arf arf (laughs evilly whilst stroking cat).

Smashwords Removal

From tomorrow, “Gifted” will be temporarily removed from Smashwords for a period of 90 days. This is so I can enrol it in the KDP Select programme on Amazon (you can’t be published anywhere else to join) and participate in a forthcoming blog hop being organised by Breezy Reads. Further details on blog hop to follow in due course – should be really good opportunity for YA lovers to discover exciting new indie writing talents! (and me).

Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause; “Gifted” will remain available on Amazon and anyone who has already downloaded “Gifted” from Smashwords will not be affected.

Kobo readers

I’ve been investigating uploading “Gifted” to the Kobo store for those of you (like me) who have a Kobo rather than a Kindle. Unfortunately, it is a much more complicated process than uploading for Kindle – lots of stuff about metadata and code that looks like Japanese to me! Sorry to say it is way beyond my limited technical capabilities.

However, Kobo are in the process of launching a direct publishing portal which should be much easier to use so will just have to wait for that to be up and running.

Apologies in the meantime.

Amazon Reviews

Hi

Thanks to all of you who have downloaded “Gifted” from Amazon so far. I’d be really really grateful if once you’ve finished reading it, you’d could spare a couple of minutes to leave a review on Amazon – an honest one of course! Good or bad, the number of reviews the book receives increases its profile on Amazon so all comments are much appreciated!

Thanks

Annalise
